Description
Haynes Alloy 263 is a age-hardenable Nickel/Cobalt/Chromium/Molybdenum alloy designed
to have very good aged strength properties, with excellent fabrication characteristics when supplied
in the annealed condition. The alloy is primarily used for applications up to 1650°F (900°C).
This material is typically supplied in the annealed condition, and is aged by the customer as part of the
fabrication process.

Heat
Treatment
Alloy 263 is typically heat treated in two stages--solution treatment followed
by an age hardening prior to service/fabrication.
Hot-Rolled sheet is normally given a solution treatment of 2100°F(1150°C), ½hr, water quenched or air cooled,
followed by an aging of 1470°F(800°C), 8hrs, air cooled.
Cold-Rolled sheet and cold-drawn section(including tube) are given a solution treatment of 2100°F(1150°C), 3-10 minutes, FBQ or
WQ, and then aged at 1470°F(800°C), 8hrs, AC.
Extruded/forged bars and section for forging or machining are usually solution treated at 2100°F(1150°C),1½-2½hrs,
WQ, followed by an aging treatment of 1470°F(800°C), 8hrs, AC.
